Eat 3 Bananas a day Lower Stroke Risk

Stroke is number three of the deadly disease after heart disease and cancer. Therefore, lead a healthy life is the perfect solution to prevent this dangerous disease. One way that can be taken is to eat three bananas to reduce the risk of stroke.
A banana for breakfast, one for lunch, and one at night will provide adequate potassium to reduce the likelihood of blood clots in the brain about 21 percent.
Because the banana is a fruit that contains a lot of potassium, the mineral that serves to stabilize the heartbeat, brain, and other important physiological processes.
Discovery made by the British and Italian researchers suggest, a stroke can be prevented by consumption of potassium-rich foods such as spinach, beans, fish, and nuts.
Although some previous studies have suggested a banana as a fruit of stroke prevention, but other important things is to control blood pressure, because the results are not always consistent.
In a recent study, published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, scientists analyzed data from different studies, back to the mid-1960s, and combined the results to obtain overall results.
They found people only consume approximately 1,600 mg of potassium per day, less than half the recommended daily amount of potassium for adults is 3500 mg. If someone already consume enough potassium to the total, guaranteed to have a lower risk of stroke.
The average banana contains approximately 500 mg of potassium, which helps to lower blood pressure and control the fluid balance in the body. Too little potassium can cause irritability, nausea, irregular heartbeat, and diarrhea.
Researchers from the University of Warwick and University of Naples said the intake of potassium in most countries is far below the recommended daily amount.
But if the consumer snack foods more rich in potassium, and reducing salt intake, then the mortality rates of stroke sufferers worldwide each year could be reduced by more than 1 million years.
The researchers said in the report, "This will translate into a reduction of as much as 1.15 million deaths from stroke per year on a worldwide scale."
Stroke, a condition that occurs when blood supply to a part of the brain is suddenly interrupted, killing approximately 200 people every day in Britain.
Treating and caring for 100 thousand people affected by stroke each year in the UK will cost 2.3 billion poundsteling.
A spokesman for the Stroke Association said, "This study shows eating lots of food rich in potassium, like bananas, dates and spinach, can reduce your risk of stroke. High blood pressure is the biggest risk factor for stroke and recent studies have shown that potassium can help lowering blood pressure. This could explain the positive effect of potassium is shown in this study. "
